Examine data and research to inform ongoing literacy progress.

Action

Assemble partners skilled in data and research to establish structures and policies for sharing and utilizing early literacy data.

Increase in shared data on early literacy and childhood in use by partners.

Strategy

Increase access to high-quality summer programming and after- school programs.

Action

Convene partners providing summer and after-school programming to develop strategies for strengthening and aligning programs citywide, including increasing participation and data sharing amongst partners.

18-Month Target

Improvement in after-school and summer programs (more aligned data sharing /measurement, increased participation and implementation, etc.)

Young people in targeted programs demonstrate literacy gains.
